ABOUT CB COMMUNICATIONS

  • ABOUT POSITION:

    The Account Coordinator position is a supporting role, but encourages growth and creativity on a daily basis and holds great potential for moving up within the company. The Account Coordinator position will assist with 3-6 client accounts at a given time. They will report directly to the Senior Account Manager and work with all areas of public relations, and perform as a resource to both clients and staff. They have experience with creating pitches, facilitating research, writing press releases, and balancing multiple projects at once.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1-3 years of PR experience.

    Excellent writing and grammar skills, and working knowledge of AP Style.

    Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

    Creative thinker, who loves coming up with new ideas, or improving upon the tried-and-true.

    Proactive and organized; must have strong ability to balance multiple projects concurrently, prioritize, and take ownership of projects and relationships.

    Strong passion for – and knowledge of – the beauty, lifestyle and wellness industries, as well as knowledge of corresponding media outlets

    Experience using Cision, HARO and/or other public relations tools

    Team player with a β€œcan do” attitude with a commitment to bettering oneself, client work, and the agency as a whole.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Results Tracking:

    Manage daily client coverage monitoring, clipping and media placement reports

    Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly PR and activity reports

    Admin/Project Management:

    Create agendas and action item follow-up emails

    Manage internal media event RSVP lists

    Keep abreast of each client’s industry, competition and related coverage

    Assist Team in scheduling appointments, creating calendar invites and preparing any agendas

    Keep office organized, assist in package sendouts and tracking of all packages

    Keep track of new business leads and own gifting programs for yearly client appreciation gifts

    Organize brainstorms with team and take effective notes for follow-up

    Share notes after meetings and follow up with individual/team action items

    Schedule and coordinate meeting times with various individuals

    Input all client initiatives and important dates in agency Master Calendar

    Media Relations:

    Develop and maintain successful relationships with key media members, locally, regionally and nationally

    Develop and manage media lists, editorial calendars and more

    Create media briefing documents for events and hosting opportunities

    Draft press kit documents, as well as news releases and pitches

    Compile new client discovery and competitive analysis documents

    Other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Social Media:

    Refined understanding of Social Media platforms and ability to identify opportunities to increase brand awareness and generate press and posts within this landscape and grow followers

    Ability to handle preliminary outreach to influencers, assist on negotiations and keep contracts organized for influencer programs

    Talent:

    Develop Talent Media Kit/Rate Cards

    Research potential brand partners and develop master grids (partnerships, all incoming requests, social calendar, etc.)

    Conduct outreach to brands about partnership inquiries

    Handle all incoming partnership requests

    Assess campaign asks, negotiate and present to Talent

    Assist in developing contracts and briefs for campaigns, as needed
